22 March 2019, It truly was a great honor for the  Grandpa Urban Farm team to have received an invitation from the Portuguese Ambassador to Thailand, His Excellency Mr. Francisco Vaz Patto and his spouse, Dr. Kevin P. Colleary to join them for lunch and to discuss the feasibility of starting an organic garden within the embassy compound.

With regards to the organic garden our two honorable hosts wished to create, in addition to having organic vegetables for private consumption and as a showcase for visitors to the mansion, the ambassador and his spouse had a vision for the garden to be a lasting gift for the officials, workers, and those who would continue to reside at this magnificent Portuguese mansion knowing full well that their tenure would not last indefinitely. As for the garden itself, the ambassador and his spouse hoped that the authorities would continue to take care of it. They also hoped that the best location found for the organic garden would continue to be a lasting pride and joy for future ambassadors and their visiting guests in the history of this country. Grandpa Urban Farm is proud and honored to have been a part of this collaboration to bring the idea of creating an organic farm at the Portuguese ambassador mansion to fruition.
